My best friend is extremely handsome. He’s incredibly smart. He’s brave and courageous. He’s funny and creative. He’s a musician, an artist, and an amazing friend. He makes me a better person, in fact, I want to be just like him. He’s actually my son, his name is Wyatt, and he has three copies of the 21st chromosome which create Down syndrome.

On November 6th, I will be running, well walking, OK you could call it a shuffle, through the five boroughs of New York on my way to the finish of the NYC Marathon in his honor.

As part of this effort, I am fundraising to help support LuMind IDSC, a non-profit organization that specializes in Down syndrome research. The work they do helps unlock knowledge that improves the care and quality of life for Wyatt and all his homies with extra chromies.

In addition, I hope to share with you the most important message that my best friend has taught me. No matter how great a challenge is, the most important thing in life is that you put one foot in front of the other and keep on going.

This is for my best friend.

Please help me reach my goal. Thank you for support and generosity!
