October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month, and to commemorate it, Hampus Hillerstrom, LuMind IDSC’s CEO, wrote an article for the Exceptional Parent Magazine, a publication that serves the special needs community.
In this issue, Hampus celebrates the extraordinary achievements that the Down syndrome community has accomplished in the past few decades, paving the path for the new generations, like his son Oskar. But Hampus also reminds us that there is more to come, that involvement in research is paramount so that our loved ones with Down syndrome can live longer, but also healthier lives.
