In the beginning of 2025, following three nation-wide searches, LuMind IDSC welcomed new team members to the Administration, Community Engagement, and Development departments. Stephen Doyle, Amy Shapley-Farrell, and Deborah Still met their new colleagues in person during an all-team, in-person meeting in Massachusetts in March.

Stephen Doyle is LuMind IDSC’s new Director of Finance and Operations. Based in Massachusetts, Stephen manages financial functions and strategies, and supports the wider team with operations solutions. Prior to joining LuMind IDSC, Stephen worked extensively in both the non-profit and corporate sectors, holding roles of Director of Finance and Accounting and Corporate Controller. Amy Shapley-Farrell recently joined the team as Director of Community Programs. Amy is tasked with driving the growth and expansion of myDSC, Family Weekend, and other community-facing programs. Previously, Amy served as a program manager at the Infectious Diseases Society of America where she ran several research grant programs including the Microbial Pathogenesis in Alzheimer’s Disease program. Her prior experience includes advocacy and a focus on services to increase accessibility for individuals with disabilities. Read more about Amy

In March, Deborah Still joined the Development team as Director of Philanthropy, a newly-established role designed to expand LuMind IDSC’s mid-level and major donor programs and contribute to philanthropic opportunity strategies. As Senior Director of Philanthropy at Ronald McDonald House Charities in Madison, Wisconsin, Deborah drove a comprehensive fundraising and marketing strategy to meet unprecedented growth demands. Previous roles saw her lead successful capital campaigns and annual funds for academic and nonprofit missions. Read more about Deborah
