brian white boston marathon pic 5.22.22I am proud to be running in support of my sister, Amy, who is such an inspiration to everyone she meets. Growing up in a large family, with three other siblings, has been such a blessing. Amy has always been such an enormous influence on all of us. Now having graduated high school and moving close to home, Amy is starting to take on independent life. She is taking on multiple jobs in the community. She works in the cafeteria at my old middle school and at the local grocery store. The best is when I am home, I will be out with Amy, and we will get stopped by people constantly who know Amy from one of her jobs. She is so outgoing that everyone she meets loves her. If she were running this marathon, it may take her a little longer, but she would make more friends than anyone else running.

“I want to make sure that as a sibling of someone who has Down syndrome, I am supportive of her and the Down syndrome community. I have set a goal for myself to try to complete this marathon in 3 hours 30 minutes.

This is going to be a tough challenge for me but it’s something meaningful to work hard for. I would be so grateful if you would help support the Down syndrome community and my goal for this marathon.”

Thank you – Brian
